A Walk in the Bush

Le Roys Bush, a reserve just near my sisters house in Auckland, is a beautiful ravine of native New Zealand ferns and trees. Similar to Constantia's greenbelts, it nestles inbetween suburbs and is a hidden gem. I followed the boardwalk all the way to the top, where the steep valley walls started to close in on me and the tree ferns formed a beautiful, delicate canopy overhead. The city sounds were completely blocked out and all I could hear was the odd rustle of birds in the undergrowth and the trickle of a small stream. Idyllic place to get lost with my camera for an hour or two.
