A glorious afternoon spent with two gorgeous girls.
The beauty of this shoot was that we followed Sarah's lead- at first she was adamant she didn't want to be photographed, so I hung back, put my long lens and pretended I was looking at flowers... then when she was comfortable with the shoot Lindsay and I just followed her around to see what caught her attention.We only gave her very subtle suggestions about where to go, but for the most part let her explore the space and play as she wanted.
The lovely thing about working in this way is that it gives me a chance to experiment, as I am never sure quite what is going to unfold, especially with children. It keeps me on my toes and makes it fun and exciting. Most importantly though, nobody ever feels pressured into doing anything they don't want to and that leads to genuine, happy, spontaneous moments (and great pictures!)
